Stockport Mill and Country Inn is located on a navigational dam of the Muskingum River in Stockport, Ohio. The heavy timber barn structure sat empty for over 20 years after the closing of a grain supply business. Purchased by a roofing contractor and his wife, the building was converted to a 14-unit hotel with 100 seat restaurant. A new kitchen was constructed on foundations from a previous wing and large dining balconies constructed to overlook water rushing over the dam. The building generates its own hydroelectric power.
